Purpose Faith and Practice is a QLSP committee that is in the process of creating a document which will represent the community's purpose, faith, and practice. This document is created by the body, for the body, as a living document that will hold our values and beliefs as we grow. Committee Members for Fall of 2013: Deborah Shaw, Grace Ethier (clerk), Keenan Lorenzato, Nate Secrest, and Zachary Kronisch. We invite you to share as you are led but please remember this is public, centered space.

I joined QLSP because I was looking for what it meant be Quaker. I had always identified as such, but never really knew what it meant. I'm glad I have found a community where I can ask questions and be challenged spiritually.
ReplyDeleteI joined QLSP because I wanted to deepen my testimony and become a better 'Friend.' A term I often find myself struggling to live up to.
ReplyDeleteI joined QLSP because I wanted a spiritual community. I wanted a place to meditate every week, and I use meeting for worship as that silent time for myself. I have grown to really like Quakers, Quaker process, and Quaker history. I have learned a lot, way more than I thought - I initially just joined for the silence, but I appreciate the vocal ministry, clerking, and committee work. I'm a fan.
